Space Availability - The Nellie

The Swarm, The Nest, and The Hive:

• There are three presentation areas in the Nellie.  Each one provides for a different learning experience. 
• Jacket Swarm has 6 tables, 36 chairs, a drop-down screen and projector.  This space is ideal for large whole class instruction.
• The Nest provides a more intimate, casual area for smaller class learning.  There are two large couches, four chairs, and two ottomans.  The Nest also has a drop-down screen and projector.  This space accomodates 16-20 students.
• The Hive is a great place for reading or discussion.  There are two large couches and one bench.  This space is ideal for groups of 14 or less.  The Hive must be supervised by a teacher at all times.

Jacket Corner and Jacket Writing Center:

• The Nellie has a total of 23 desktop computers available for student and staff use.  These are PC compatible and offer the ability to print.  Each desktop computer includes a wireless keyboard and mouse.  

Carr, Hawkins-Mott, Hays, True and Buzz: 

• The five (5) academic collaboraion suites allow for small group collaborative learning.  Each suite offers access to Mac, PC, and Promethean software and hold up to six (6) students.  All suites offer touchscreen capabilities as well as a wireless keyboard and mouse.
